2009 Chevrolet Traverse P0122 Code: Causes and Fixes After Fuel and Sensor Repairs
Last Friday, while driving my 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, the vehicle suddenly died. It was previously showing misfire codes on cylinders 3 and 5. I replaced both coils and spark plugs, as well as the fuel pump and accelerator pedal sensor. The throttle body was also replaced. Despite these repairs, the car now displays a P0122 diagnostic trouble code. What could be causing this issue? Any insights or troubleshooting steps for this specific code on my 2009 Traverse?
Check the official wiring schematic at http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb. A P0122 code typically indicates one or more of the following: TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) not securely mounted, a short to ground or another wire in the TPS circuit, or a faulty TPS. In rare cases, a damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM) may also be responsible. For detailed information, refer to the P0122 code explanation.
