knock sensor chevy 5.3 po327

Model: chevy 5.3 Fault Code: P0327 Posted: 2015-02-12 14:51

2003 chevy avalanche has po327 knock sensor. I have had front and rear sensors replaced and the wiring harness too. This was done by a local shop with a good reputation in this area. I still get the same code after 4 start/stop cycles. Does anyone have a suggestion? truck has 50000 miles with engine light/ po327 code]

quick thoughts did you use OEM sensors? Are there any engine noises- ticking, knocking exhaust leak? did you reset the RAM* not the same as clearing codes. Installation is specific - must be torqued, no added sealant. no excessive rust in valley cover area where they mount. with DVOM attached to sensor wire and ground-check for ACvoltage as you tap on eng. Check the wire from sensor to PCM - any voltage- grounded-open? then ohm *RAM or adaptives remove negitive cable for a 10count.

I had this happen on and off for quite a while then I found that when I put good gas or octane booster in my tank after about 50 miles the light went off, apparently bad or low octane gas will cause a knock and set it off.

vehicle does NOT require premium fuel - just wasting money- suggest you correct the issue. Is vehicle STOCK? do you have a scanner?
