Buick 3800 throwing p1640 which dont exist!!

This car is throwing a p1640 code which doesnt even exist!!! We've tried a new ECM and that doesnt work!!! What could this be??? thanks

What is the name of the dealer's scan tool? Actron? Tech 2? I have a MODIS which was $2k What could cause: "Quad Driver 1 voltage too high"? and Quad Driver 4 thanks

So if you hold the key in the start position and let it crank over it wont start! But, if you barely let it go into the start position for a second then it will start!! WTF? Its a ghost / gremlins! thanks On a different car, we have to take off a plug from the coil in order to get it to start...

gm used the Quad driver system on those cars for alot of years, if the check engine light bulb was burnt out or even the charge bulb or oil I think it would generate alot of driver codes. Egr was another one and so was the 02 sensor, nbut neither should keep the car from starting, I know the ignition switcheds are problematic in some gms as are the pass lock system if yours is equipped with it! Tech 2 is the dealer tool! I 'd love to have my own MODIS, nice tool!
