Audi A4 OBD code P-1298?
Hello! Recently purchased a used 2003 Audi A4 with the 3.0 litre V-6 and 6 speed manual transmission with 64000 +or- miles on the clock. Have changed the nastiest air filter I've seen in a long time. Shortly afterwards the MIL light came on. The local garage pulled a P-1298 trouble code off the OBD II unit, but can't get the information from Audi. Can anyone out there help me with this? Dealer is a D K HEAD and won't give any info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Dean
sorry I can find the description in my book, I got a 1297 and a 1299,but no 1298! I don't work on may Audi's but is it possible that you disconnectted a sensor for the IAt or vaccum line from the air box when you were changing the filter, both of the codes I have are for fuel control so I'm guessing the 1298 would be similar
