2004 Audi Check Engine Light with P0325 Code - Sensor Replacement Issue

Model: audi 2004 Fault Code: P2177 Posted: 2017-11-25 18:02

My 2004 Audi's check engine light came on, and the diagnostic code read as camshaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor and cleared the code. However, the check engine light returned after a few days. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps for this recurring issue? The original code was P0325, which indicates a problem with the camshaft position sensor circuit.

OBD-II codes like P0325 do not specify exactly which component to replace — they point you toward the area of concern. Please confirm the exact code (e.g., P0325) and search for solutions using that specific code in our forum. It might be the same issue or a different fault. If it's recurring, check for wiring problems or loose connections.

Thanks for the helpful advice! I did further research and checked the wiring harness connected to the camshaft sensor. Replaced the connector assembly — now the check engine light is off. This was a common issue on older Audi models with aging connectors.
