P0430 OBD2 Code in 1999 Chevrolet Suburban with 350 Engine - Diagnosis and Sensor Replacement Advice

Model: 99 Suburban Fault Code: P0430 Posted: 2009-05-14 12:40

My 1999 Chevrolet Suburban with a 350 engine has been consistently throwing the P0430 diagnostic trouble code. Here's a summary of the work I've done: - In early March, I replaced all oxygen (O2) sensors. - Last Thursday, I installed a new catalytic converter (specifically for Bank 2). - I also replaced all ignition components including spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil packs, and the ignition module. - The injector driver unit was replaced due to failure; injectors were also replaced. My main question: Since I waited a long time before replacing the catalytic converter, could this have caused the O2 sensors on Bank 2 to become fouled or damaged? Should I replace both O2 sensors or start with just one? What would be the recommended approach for diagnosing and fixing this P0430 code in my 1999 Suburban? Thanks for any insights or troubleshooting tips. Jeff

Could you clarify where the catalytic converter was sourced? Was the P0430 code present before this replacement, or did it appear after installing the new converter?
