1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible P0132 and P0134 O2 Sensor Fault Codes - Diagnosis Help

Model: 99 Sebring Fault Code: P0132 Posted: 2018-09-17 11:38

I have a 1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible with persistent P0132 and P0134 oxygen sensor fault codes. I've already checked the wiring and replaced both oxygen sensors, but the codes continue to appear. The vehicle has a Mitsubishi 2.5L engine, and there are no visible exhaust leaks or oil contamination. I've confirmed continuity in the sensor circuits, but I'm still getting these error codes. Can anyone provide guidance on how to properly check the voltage at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and determine if the sensor readings respond when adjusting fuel mixture (lean/rich)? Also, are there known issues with non-OEM oxygen sensors like NTK in this model?

Could you confirm which engine manufacturer it is—Chrysler or Mitsubishi? Also, please share all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and the actual voltage readings observed at the PCM. To troubleshoot effectively, try manipulating the fuel mixture (lean/rich) to see if the sensor voltage changes. Check for exhaust leaks or coolant contamination in the intake system. Note that some aftermarket brands like NTK have been reported as unreliable—using OEM sensors may improve reliability.

Just noticed this is a convertible model—could you confirm whether it's equipped with a Chrysler or Mitsubishi engine? This affects the diagnostic approach and sensor compatibility.

Mitsubishi

No oil contamination detected—only exhaust fumes. Could someone explain step-by-step how to measure the voltage at the PCM for the oxygen sensor? I've confirmed continuity and verified that it's a Mitsubishi 2.5L engine, but the codes persist.
