My 1999 Mitsubishi Galant has recently triggered a P0403 diagnostic code, and now the car will not start. It appears that the starter is cranking and the pulleys are turning, but there is no sound of ignition or spark. I have checked for spark at multiple plugs, fuel pressure, and injector power — all seem normal when the key is on. However, the engine does not attempt to fire. I'm concerned this could be related to an EGR circuit fault as indicated by the P0403 code. Any advice on troubleshooting or next steps would be greatly appreciated.
