99 Honda Accord p0122 ideling at 2000 RPM.

I have a 99 Honda Accord that I replace the TPS last week and now the car is ideling at 2000 RPM. I put a scan and the code is PO122. I need some help please.

Check TPS for proper operational voltage with scan tool or v meter. Did you replace the original TPS for this error code or a different one?

At first the vehicle was ideling high and low (surging) and someone recomend that i change the TPS and i did with a new one. i also check the volts and it reads 5.

Check TPS signal voltage to PCM should be approx .5v at idle. Do this with TPS connected, test leads across sig and sig ground. Easier done with scan tool than v meter. If TPS sig normal than error code probably generated when TPS was changed. Reset code/see if it returns. Regarding the high idle, if TPS sig is good to the PCM then check IAC. If you can't read the IAC data on a scanner then best you can do is remove and clean/replace.
