1999 GMC Jimmy P0452 Code: EVAP System Low Sensor Input - Diagnosis and Fixes
I own a 1999 GMC Jimmy with a 4.3L engine, and I'm currently experiencing a P0452 diagnostic code indicating a low evaporative emissions (EVAP) system sensor input. I've already replaced both the intake manifold solenoid and the fuel tank pressure sensor located just above the spare tire under the rear of the vehicle. The check engine light only activates after the car has sat for some time. Recently, I replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor—after which the P0452 code appeared again following a period of inactivity. The code clears when I drive the vehicle, but returns once it sits idle. This issue began after my battery died and I used a jump starter. Any additional diagnostics or components I should check to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a fuel tank pressure sensor located at the top of the fuel pump? If so, it may be faulty and could contribute to the P0452 code.
