Hey i hope someone can help. I have a Caravan with 149k and i have been having issues with it. It has been running with a lack of power but smooth until a few weeks ago when it started hesitating and the code 1391 popped up. I have changed it all, crank sensor, ditributor, wires plugs cap/rotor plugs, and still i have the problem. I am ssoo stumped, anyone ever have this happen?
Does it misfire? Is the timing belt and distributor orientation correct?
If you eliminated the sensors , the wiring and the PCM then the only thing left that I can think of is the drive plate or flexplate. It is not uncommun to have a crack on it . The part is cheap but the you have to drop the trany to replace it. A good mecanic should be able to monitor the sensors real time and determine if the CKP sensor is sending incorrect info .

Check Cam Position Sensor as well as the circuits to it and the Crank Sensor. Good luck and keep us posted.
