99 Toyota 4Runner P0302 and P0301 Misfire Codes - Coil Pack or Injector Fault?
Freeze Frame Parameter Description Value DTC for which Freeze Frame was Stored P0302: Fuel System 1 Status - Closed Loop; Fuel System 2 Status - Not Supported; Calculated LOAD Value - 66.67%; Engine Coolant Temperature - 197.60°F; Short Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1 - 0.78%; Long Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1 - 10.16%; Engine RPM - 2773 rpm; Vehicle Speed Sensor - 32.93 mph; Intake Air Temperature - 78.80°F P0301: Detected misfire in cylinder 1 Additional DTC: P0300 (random misfires) I have replaced the spark plugs and wires, cleaned the MAF sensor, but the issue persists. The fault codes P0302 and P0301 are still present along with P0300. I suspect either a faulty coil pack or a defective fuel injector. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I recommend starting with the coil pack replacement, especially since misfires in multiple cylinders are common with failing coils. If the P0302 and P0301 codes clear after replacing one coil, it's likely a faulty coil pack. After confirming that, consider replacing the other cylinder's coil packs as well.
