I recently purchased a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x2 with a 5-speed manual transmission. When I took it for a check engine diagnosis, the system showed codes P0138 and P0135. After troubleshooting, I resolved those by replacing a downstream O2 sensor fuse. Now, a new code has appeared: P0132. I suspect this is due to installing a Bosch universal O2 sensor instead of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part. Could this be causing the issue? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I've found that Napa doesn't carry NGK O2 sensors — they only stock NTK, which is actually the official O2 sensor brand used in original Dodge Ram models. I replaced my rear O2 with a NTK sensor and it's been working well. I'll check pricing to compare with Bosch, thanks for the tip!

I hope they meant NTK — NGK doesn't manufacture oxygen sensors. NTK is Dodge’s original O2 sensor brand, and using a genuine NTK sensor should resolve the P0132 code effectively. You're likely to see better compatibility and stability with this part.
