Dodge Ram 1500 97 Model with P0201, P0203, P0205, and P0207 OBD2 Diagnostic Codes - Wiring Issue?
I own a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 that experienced an ignition wire short. I have already replaced the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), crankshaft position sensor, distributor pickup, and the intake manifold, along with all associated gaskets. Despite these repairs, the vehicle continues to display OBD2 diagnostic trouble codes P0201, P0203, P0205, and P0207. Could there still be an underlying wiring issue? I noticed that the wiring harness had come loose and fell down on the driver's side exhaust manifold area. These codes specifically relate to injector circuits, not ignition system problems.
The P0201, P0203, P0205, and P0207 codes are NOT related to ignition wire issues. Each code indicates a problem with its respective fuel injector circuit. The fault is specifically tied to wiring or electrical connectivity. Reference: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0201. These codes pertain to the fuel injection system, not ignition components.
