96 Jetta Check Engine Light: P1450 Code After Replacing Secondary Air Pump Relay
I recently encountered a PO411 code on my 1996 Jetta, which was accompanied by the secondary air pump continuing to run after the engine was turned off. To troubleshoot, I disconnected the air pump and found that its relay was rattling—this led me to suspect internal damage. After replacing the relay and reconnecting the system, I cleared the PO411 code and restarted the engine. However, a new fault appeared: P145-0 (Secondary Air Injection System Circuit Short to Positive). I'm now looking for guidance on how to locate this short circuit in the air injection system. Any insights or diagnostic steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, PTTZ
