1993 Ford Probe Code 25 and 16 Diagnosis: No Spark, Fuel Pump Issues

Model: 93 Ford Probe Fault Code: P0160 Posted: 2014-07-02 13:11

I own a 1993 Ford Probe 2.0L 4-cylinder automatic transmission model and am consistently encountering diagnostic trouble codes 25 and 16. Despite checking the ignition system—where I've observed no spark from the coil—and confirming that the fuel pump is functional, the fuel shutoff switch has not tripped, fuses are intact, relays are operating correctly, and my starter was recently rebuilt—I'm still unable to identify the root cause. The vehicle appears to be stuck in a loop of intermittent failures. I've tried various troubleshooting steps but feel like I'm going in circles. Any insights or suggestions from experienced owners or mechanics? Thank you in advance—Carol

The coil is producing sparks, but the spark plugs are not firing properly—have you checked the distributor cap and rotor for wear or damage?
