P2110 Throttle Actuator Control Issue - 2005 Chrysler 300C 5.7L 94K Miles - Limp Mode Recurring
Detailed Summary of Persistent Limp Mode and P2110 Fault Code in 2005 Chrysler 300C (5.7L, 94K miles) This issue has persisted for a long time on my 2005 Chrysler 300C with a 5.7L V8 engine and approximately 94,000 miles. The first occurrence happened while driving on a back road at a stop. When I pressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle entered limp mode — indicated by a red lightning bolt — along with the ESP and BAS warning lights illuminating. After turning off the car and restarting, it operated normally for about 10 minutes before returning to limp mode. Subsequent attempts: after driving for around 20 minutes, the same issue reoccurs. I have performed several upgrades and diagnostics: - Installed a Legmaker Cold Air Intake (CAI) - Added a strut tower brace - Upgraded headlights I cleaned and replaced the throttle body — followed by a full reset — but the problem persists. The ECM was later replaced after locating it within three weeks; programmed at a dealer, yet the issue remains unchanged. Additional components replaced: - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor (non-MOPAR) - Throttle Pedal Position Sensor - Wiring harness Despite these efforts, the problem continues. I am now considering replacing the engine control harness as a next step — though I'm still uncertain whether this will resolve the P2110 fault. I also replaced the EGR valve with no improvement. The current diagnostic code is: P2110 - Throttle Actuator Control System malfunction. Any insights or solutions from others experiencing similar issues would be greatly appreciated.
