Mercedes C230 2006 P2725 Fault Code: Post-Transmission Repair Returns to Limp Mode
I own a 2006 Mercedes C230 and recently completed repairs on the transmission, including replacing the transmission pressure solenoid, changing the transmission fluid and filter, and installing a new selection shift rod in the valve body. After these repairs, I cleared the fault code P2725 using an OBD2 scanner, and the car initially ran normally, exiting limp mode with smooth shifting. However, after restarting the vehicle to go to the store, it immediately returned to limp mode and became stuck in 1st gear. The diagnostic scan confirmed the same error code: P2725 (Pressure Control Solenoid E). I have already replaced the pressure control solenoid with a new one. What other potential causes could be responsible for this recurring issue? Are there any known solutions or common pitfalls specific to the 2006 Mercedes C230 that might explain why the problem persists despite these repairs? Any insights would greatly save me time and prevent unnecessary part replacements.
The transmission has been functioning properly for three days, but it's now back in limp mode. A diagnostic scan confirms fault code P2725 again. I've already replaced the pressure control solenoid with a new one. Has anyone else experienced this issue on their 2006 Mercedes C230? Are there any known causes or troubleshooting steps that could help resolve this recurring problem without replacing unnecessary components?
