2015 VW Golf GTD P0036 Fault: How to Replace Bank 1 Sensor 2 Oxygen Sensor

Model: 2015 VW Golf Fault Code: P0036 Posted: 2018-10-07 04:49

Hi, I own a 2015 VW Golf GTD with a 2.0-liter engine. I'm currently experiencing a P0036 diagnostic trouble code, which indicates a fault with the heated oxygen sensor in Bank 1, Sensor 2. I need to replace this component but don't have access to the owner's manual. Can anyone help me locate the correct OEM part number for this sensor? Thanks, Paul

Before replacing the oxygen sensor, it's important to first check the wiring harness, connectors, and electrical circuit for any faults. A faulty connection can mimic a sensor failure. If the issue persists after testing, it's recommended to purchase the OEM sensor directly from an authorized VW dealership rather than using aftermarket parts.
