2015 Ford Explorer Fuel Pump Problem: P0627 Code and Car Won't Start

Model: 2015 Explorer Fault Code: P0627 Posted: 2019-11-05 08:38

My 2015 Ford Explorer started showing a low fuel warning light in the driveway. The vehicle would not start, and the check engine light illuminated. I added four gallons of fresh gasoline, but the car still wouldn't start. Using an OBD2 code reader, I found fault code P0627 related to the fuel pump. The next day, the vehicle started normally and ran smoothly for 1.5 hours in the driveway. Since then, I've driven it daily for three days with no issues—the check engine light remains off and the car runs fine. However, the P0627 code persists in the system. I'm seeking advice on whether this is a temporary issue or if further diagnosis or repair is needed.

P0627 indicates a fuel pump circuit or fuel level sensor issue; check for loose connections, faulty sensors, or low fuel pressure in your 2015 Ford Explorer.
