2014 Dodge Ram 6.7L Diesel P0299 P0470 P0401 Fault Codes - Diagnosis and Fixes

Model: 2014 Dodge Ram 6.7 diesel Fault Code: P0299 Posted: 2016-03-16 15:31

I own a 2014 Dodge Ram 6.7L diesel model and am consistently receiving fault codes P0299, P0471, and P0401. I have already cleaned the intake pressure sensor and EGR solenoid, but the check engine light remains on. The issue persists despite these maintenance steps. Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The 2014 Dodge Ram 6.7L diesel is known to have issues with exhaust pressure sensors, which can trigger P0299 and related codes. Ensure all air intake systems and piping are sealed properly to prevent leaks. If the vehicle is still under warranty, this issue may be covered.

I’d also check whether any aftermarket modifications like ECU chips or programmers have been installed—these can interfere with engine diagnostics and cause false fault codes. If no such modifications are in use, the problem is more likely related to sensor accuracy or system leaks.

I'm experiencing the same P0299 and P0471 issues on my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel with a 5.9L engine—could there be a common underlying cause across different years of this model line?
