2014 Dodge Challenger P0430 Code: O2 Sensor Bank 2 Diagnosis and Voltage Requirements

Model: 2014 dodge challenger Fault Code: P0430 Posted: 2016-11-30 08:56

I'm experiencing a P0430 diagnostic code on my 2014 Dodge Challenger, which indicates the oxygen sensor in Bank 2 is below expected performance thresholds. I believe this may be related to my Bank 2 O2 sensor failing. My question is: what voltage range should a healthy Bank 2 O2 sensor read while running? And specifically, is this sensor located on the driver's side or passenger side of the vehicle?

The O2 sensor should cycle between approximately 0.2V and 0.8V over a sustained period—this behavior is significantly different from that of the front (upstream) sensor. To check if the sensor is functioning, perform several snap throttle maneuvers and monitor the voltage readings in real time. A healthy sensor will transition smoothly from 0.8V to 0.2V, then back to 0.8V, before stabilizing. The P0430 code falls under emissions warranty coverage; I recommend having a certified dealer inspect and diagnose the issue promptly.
