The P0651 diagnostic trouble code typically indicates a problem with the transmission control module or related sensors. Common symptoms include: - Failure to switch between sport and economy driving modes - Transmission shifting issues, such as delayed or absent engagement - Inability to switch between all-wheel and two-wheel drive modes - Transfer case failure to shift from low to high gear - Lack of front differential or hub engagement - Erratic or inoperative speedometer and odometer readings For detailed information, refer to: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0651 Copyright OBD-Codes.com

Thank you for the helpful input! The issue was resolved after discovering that the intercooler nozzle was missing. Once it was properly installed, the cruise control function returned to normal and the engine revving issue disappeared.
