P0441 Fault Code in 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250: Diagnosis and Repair Steps
My 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 has 42,000 miles and is currently showing only the P0441 diagnostic trouble code. I have tried clearing the code using both a scan tool and by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, but the code persists. The purge valve has already been replaced with a genuine Mercedes-Benz part, and the fuel gas cap was recently installed with a new blue gasket—both sides were thoroughly cleaned during installation. I am located 50 miles away from my scanner, so I'm currently focusing on checking the vacuum lines related to the evaporative emission system. However, I cannot find any information about whether the 2012 C250 model is equipped with a canister vent solenoid. I visited an Actron service center, and they incorrectly stated that P0441 relates to the oxygen sensor. This is inaccurate—P0441 specifically refers to a malfunction in the evaporative emission system's purge control, not the oxygen sensor. I would appreciate any guidance on diagnosing or repairing this issue accurately for my C250 model.
