2012 GMC Acadia P0024 Code: Causes, Fixes, and Solenoid Replacement Guide

Three weeks ago my 2012 GMC Acadia triggered a P0011 diagnostic trouble code (DTC). I cleared the code to monitor if it would return, but within two days, it reappeared along with a P0014 code. As a first step, I performed an oil change, which temporarily resolved both codes for about two weeks. However, the vehicle is now displaying a new code: P0024. Given this recurring pattern and the fact that the P0024 code relates to the variable valve timing solenoid, I suspect a faulty solenoid is the root cause. While I'm considering replacing the solenoids as the most straightforward fix, I'm open to other potential solutions such as checking for carbon buildup or inspecting the camshaft position sensor. Any insights from owners of 2012 GMC Acadia with similar P0024 issues would be greatly appreciated.
