2012 Chevrolet Cruze P015B, P0171, P2270 Fault Codes: Causes and Diagnosis Tips

Model: 2012 Chevy Cruze Fault Code: P0171 Posted: 2016-06-28 09:13

My 2012 Chevrolet Cruze is displaying the following OBD2 fault codes, despite no noticeable performance issues: - P015B: Oxygen Sensor Delayed Response - Lean to Rich Condition in Bank 1, Sensor 1 - P0171: System Too Lean - Bank 1 - P2270: Oxygen Sensor Signal Biased or Stuck Lean - Bank 1, Sensor 2 These codes suggest potential issues with the oxygen sensor readings or fuel mixture. While the vehicle runs normally, I'm looking for expert insights into possible root causes and diagnostic steps. Could this be related to a faulty O2 sensor, vacuum leak, or fuel delivery system? Any guidance on how to properly diagnose these codes would be greatly appreciated.

Using your OBD2 scanner, check the actual oxygen sensor voltages at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Also verify the readings from the Fuel Temperature (FT) and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensors. As a preliminary step, consider checking fuel pressure with a dedicated gauge to rule out low fuel pressure as a contributing factor.
