2010 ford fusion is turning over but not starting. codes saying all 4 injector coils p0351-p0354

Model: 2010 Ford Fusion Fault Code: P0351 Posted: 2018-07-03 14:53

I have a 2010 ford fusion 2.5 that every once in awhile after the car has been driven for a period of time you could shut it off and go start it again and it would turn over but not start, so you would shut it off and try again and then the car would start. Almost a year later and the car stalled out on me and now it won't start, It keeps blowing fuses that are for the ignition coil, we've tried testing all 4 coils and it still blows fuses, I've looked at all the wiring I could find and don't see any issues. the OBD codes I get are po351-po354. Would it be the ecm computer?

Could be ecm coil circuit shorted. Disconnect all injectors, install fuse. If fuse doesn't blow connect injector one at a time to determine what circuit blows fuse. Do this engine off ignition switch on.

The codes are for ignition coils not injectors.

We tested the ignition coils one by one by unplugging on at a time and it still would blow a fuse with all 4 ignition coils.

BBBind.com has schematic of ignition coils. Looks like short to ground not from ECM, good sign. You' have to disconnect /test to find short. Schematic shows a capacitor to ground after fuse at junction of the main power feed.

It's in the wiring harness somewhere
