2010 Dodge Charger 3.5L V6 with 42RLE Transmission Enters Limp Mode After 15-20 Miles on Highway

Model: 2010 dodge charger Fault Code: P0700 Posted: 2018-05-16 15:37

I have a 2010 Dodge Charger equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine and a 42RLE transmission. The vehicle shifts smoothly and runs normally under light conditions, but after driving approximately 15 to 20 miles on the highway, it unexpectedly enters limp mode. Once in limp mode, I must pull over, restart the vehicle, and it will operate normally until reaching speeds above 60 mph, at which point the issue recurs. I have already replaced all transmission solenoids, flushed the transmission fluid, and installed a new filter—yet the problem persists. Any insights or troubleshooting steps for this recurring limp mode behavior? Specifically, are there any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that could help identify the root cause?

Have you checked for any specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)? Also, which solenoids were replaced and what model numbers or types were used?
