I own a 2010 Cadillac SRX with a turbocharged engine. My vehicle is showing a P0496 diagnostic trouble code along with the service engine light illuminated. I'm wondering if this fault code is related to my turbo boost gauge not functioning properly. The gauge shows a sweep when the engine starts, but it fails to display actual boost pressure. Could the P0496 code be directly linked to the malfunctioning boost gauge or could there be an underlying issue with the turbo system or sensor readings?
