2010 Audi Q7 P246F, P2509, and P2201 Error Codes - Nox Sensor Replacement Guidance
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing OBD-II error codes P246F, P2509, and P2201 on my 2010 Audi Q7. The yellow warning light is illuminated, and although I've reset the system and the light has turned off, the OBD scanner still shows these codes as 'pending'. I've been advised to replace the NOx sensor (part number 059 907 806 T). My question is: can I use a replacement NOx sensor with the same part number but different suffix letters (e.g., 059 907 807 G)? Would such a sensor be compatible and function correctly in my vehicle? I'm looking for confirmation on whether only the exact model ending in 'T' is approved, as I understand this is a pre-cat sensor.
Hello there. After checking with a local Audi dealer, the correct NOx sensor for my 2010 Audi Q7 is specifically model 059 907 807 T. There are no alternative sensors available that will work in this application. Using a version with a different suffix (such as G) will not function properly and could lead to inaccurate readings or engine performance issues. The 'T' variant is the pre-cat sensor required for this vehicle model, so it must be used exactly as specified.
