Hello, I own a 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan with over 50,000 kilometers. Recently, my vehicle has been experiencing recurring engine issues, including the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) illumination and intermittent rough idling. After initial diagnostics, I received the P2015 code, followed by an EPC warning light and irregular engine performance. Upon inspection, it was found that the PCV check valve and oil separator were malfunctioning, allowing engine oil to enter the intake manifold and resulting in significant hard carbon deposits. I replaced both the PCV assembly and the entire intake manifold with its associated sensors. After thorough cleaning and reassembly, the engine runs smoothly, and the MIL has turned off. However, a new OBD2 scan revealed the P2008 code: 'Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit/Open'. I'm unsure what this means — specifically, what does 'circuit/open' indicate? Is it related to wiring, sensor failure, or an electrical short? What steps should I take to resolve this issue permanently and remove the P2008 code?
