2009 Dodge Grand Caravan P0765 Code: Transmission Slip at 80 mph and Below 40 mph Speed Limit

Model: 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan Fault Code: P0765 Posted: 2018-07-08 13:03

I'm experiencing a P0765 transmission code on my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. I've already had the transmission fluid changed, but the issue persists. The problem only occurs when I reach approximately 80 miles per hour and come to a stop—during this moment, I feel the vehicle slipping forward, after which I can no longer drive beyond 40 mph. This behavior is very concerning and has significantly limited my driving range. Can anyone provide insight or solutions for this specific P0765 code on this model?

The P0765 code in a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan can stem from several potential causes, including: - Insufficient transmission fluid level - Dirty or contaminated fluid - Clogged or dirty transmission filter - Defective transmission valve body - Restricted hydraulic passages - Internal transmission failure - Faulty shift solenoid - Corroded or damaged electrical connectors - Damaged wiring or faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) For more details, see: P0765 code explanation.

Thanks, cj1. It's strange—the check engine light came on but turned off a day later. I've been driving it regularly and haven't seen the code reappear yet. Is this a sign that the issue might be resolved? Or could it return intermittently?

In the clear for now however intermittent condition may return. Good luck or if DIY could disonnect solenoid pack clean /test suspect solenoid /wiring/connector.

I'll try that suggestion, cj1—thank you so much for the guidance!
