P0452 Diagnostic and EVAP System Issue on 2009 Chrysler T&C
The Check Engine light activated recently on my 2009 Chrysler T&C, and the only fault code detected was P0452. The vehicle has been idle for nearly nine months and runs smoothly under normal conditions. However, when refueling, the fuel pump repeatedly shuts off, which I suspect is due to air being present in the filler tube or tank. Despite ensuring the gas cap is securely tightened, the issue persists. This P0452 code points to an EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system malfunction. I'm seeking advice on how to properly diagnose and resolve this problem.
P0452 is related to the EVAP system, specifically indicating a pressure sensor or venting issue that causes the fuel pump to shut off during refueling.
