I'm looking for guidance on how to diagnose and fix the P0106 fault code in my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle is showing a DTC P0106, which indicates a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor performance issue. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is receiving unreliable data from the MAP sensor, suggesting it may not be functioning within expected parameters. DTC P0106: Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Performance - the MAP sensor is not passing a rationality test. The data being sent to the PCM from the sensor is suspect and may indicate a faulty or improperly calibrated sensor.
