2008 Pathfinder SE code P0443

Model: 2008 Pathfinder SE Fault Code: P0443 Posted: 2014-06-23 11:43

A little history in past 2 yrs. "Check Engine" light would appear which has happened twice in the past and was told probably didn't tighten the gas cap so upon next fill up make sure to tighten, the "Check Engine" light did disappear. But now, the light is "Service Engine Soon" - with code 0443 "Evap emission system purge control valve" I just re-filled the gas tank and the "Service Engine Soon" still remains. Reading the code description here on this site - I see it requires some testing to pinpoint the actual cause and possible repair/replacement, beyond my capabilities. So I presume I will have to go to my mechanic. But can someone tell me about how much the part would to replace the valve/circuit unit?

for the part price - check with NISSAN - th e part may not be the issue, troubleshoot first figure 1hr troubleshoot at the prevailing rate your area
