2008 Nissan Versa P2100 P2101 P0745 - Car Won't Accelerate Past 20mph After Throttle Body Replacement

Model: 2008 Nissan Versa Fault Code: P0745 Posted: 2015-09-16 13:42

I own a 2008 Nissan Versa and am experiencing persistent engine performance issues. The car fails to accelerate beyond 20 mph, and I've been getting diagnostic trouble codes P2100, P2101, and P0745. I previously replaced the throttle body, which resolved the P2100/P2101 codes temporarily—however, they returned within a week along with the same acceleration problem. I have already checked all relevant wiring harnesses and fuses. The issue persists despite these efforts. I'm now investigating potential electrical faults behind the IPDM module, including relay function and connection integrity.

Have you tested the throttle control motor relay and its associated fuse? Did you install any new electrical components recently? These could be contributing factors to the P2100 code.

The IPDM module's relay is powered, and the fuse is confirmed good. I've already inspected all wiring paths. I'm currently installing a new throttle body to rule out a defective unit—no recent electrical modifications have been made.

Replacing the throttle body with a different model did not resolve the issue. I am now proceeding to replace the relay as the next step in troubleshooting.

The root cause was found: several corroded and broken wires behind the IPDM panel. Fixing these connections resolved both the P2100/P2101 codes and eliminated the P0745 code, which previously caused hard shifting.
