2008 Nissan Quest P0705 and P0770 Transmission Fault: Diagnosis and Repair Solutions
Hi everyone! I'm a new member and hoping for some expert advice on my 2008 Nissan Quest experiencing persistent transmission issues. I've encountered multiple fault codes and have gone through several repair attempts with limited success. Here's what I've tried so far: 1. Initially, the vehicle would not shift into reverse and only operated in second gear under safety mode. The transmission was replaced, including clutch plates and pressure plates, along with the transmission control module. 2. After the replacement, the speedometer displayed incorrect readings only at startup — it showed accurate values only when moving from second gear onward. A diagnostic scan revealed the following codes: - P0705: Transmission Input Speed Sensor Fault - P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor Fault - P0141: Oxygen Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 2) Fault - P0447: Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit Fault - P0770: Transmission Solenoid E Fault 3. I later replaced the gear selector switch (TR) and re-scanned the system. The new codes reported were: - P156: ASDC Switch Fault (Automatic Shift Control) - P0447: Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit Open Despite a thorough electrical inspection by a specialist with no detected short circuits or wiring issues, the fault codes persist. I'm now seeking community input on possible root causes — especially regarding sensor calibration, transmission module compatibility, or software updates for the 2008 Nissan Quest. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! Best regards, Mauricio
