I own a 2008 Mercedes-Benz W211 and am experiencing severe gear engagement problems. The car will not shift into reverse or drive, despite the engine running normally. The most concerning symptom is that the car appears completely stuck—unable to move—until I turn off the engine for about 3 minutes, then restart it.
