P0012 Fault on 2008 MazdaSpeed 3 After Oil-Related Timing Jump
My 2008 MazdaSpeed 3 developed a P0012 check engine code after the engine jumped timing due to lack of oil and was subsequently rebuilt. The mechanic confirmed that the timing is correctly set post-rebuild. However, when I apply wide open throttle (WOT) at high RPMs, the car loses power—similar to a misfire. This issue persists despite proper timing alignment. What could be causing this P0012-related performance loss?
I'm experiencing the same issue. We've replaced all suspected components, but still can't identify the root cause. Did you manage to resolve it on your end?
