2008 Kia Rio Diesel code P1186

Hi, can you help with a fault code P1186 on 2008 rio diesel.orange engine warning light came on on start up, engine starts up after restart.after useing dongle for code,warning light is out but engine still dies after short time. I tried to send this last night but not sure if it went properly. Thanks cliffran.

Issue could be blocking fuel filter, known and common for KIA, I suggest OEM Dealer fuel filter to use.

thank you for the reply, you are spot on , have change the filter and road tested rio. incedentaly an after market filter from a motor factor i use did not fit in the mounting bracket. it was half the price but went back. cheers and good luck.
