2008 Hyundai Accent OBD Code P0141: Causes and Fixes

Model: 2008 Hyundai Accent Fault Code: P0141 Posted: 2011-10-01 15:07

I replaced the downstream oxygen sensor on my 2008 Hyundai Accent, cleared the fault codes, and initially experienced no issues. However, after a few drives, the check engine light returned, and the code reader now shows OBD code P0141 again. The vehicle is still running normally, but the recurring code suggests a potential issue with sensor performance or related components.

Did you install a Bosch brand oxygen sensor? Some users report better reliability with OEM or Bosch sensors in this model.

No, I installed an 'OEM Replacement After Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensor - 4-wire, 2001-2010 Hyundai Accent' from the local Hyundai dealership. It's a factory-original part for this model year.

I recommend checking all relevant fuses, especially those related to the engine control module and sensor circuits, as power issues can trigger P0141 even after replacement.
