Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a starting issue with my 2008 Ford Explorer that has triggered fault code P0685. Start by checking the underhood fuse box—verify fuse F7 (40A) is intact and properly seated. Also, test the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relay; try swapping it with a known good relay to see if the issue resolves. Make sure there's no remote starter installed, as this can interfere with starting systems. Always use a test light or digital multimeter (DVOM) to confirm continuity—don't just visually inspect the components.
