I'm experiencing a persistent P0402 diagnostic trouble code on my 2008 Ford Escape with the 3.0L engine. I've already replaced the Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency (DPFE) sensor, Exhaust Valve Regulator (EVR), and EGR valve. Additionally, I've removed and cleaned both the throttle body and intake air control (IAC) valve. Despite these efforts, the P0402 code continues to appear. I'm seeking advice on potential root causes and next steps for troubleshooting this issue.

Did you replace the DPFE sensor with a dealer-original or aftermarket unit? Aftermarket sensors can sometimes lead to inconsistent readings or failure to resolve P0402 codes.

It seems like most components related to the exhaust system have been replaced. The next step should be to verify the DPFE sensor's signal voltage, reference voltage, and ground connection. Could you also share the freeze frame data—such as engine load, temperature, and RPM—at the time of the code trigger?
