2008 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L Engine Misfire: P0305 and Multiple Cylinders Misfiring After Injector Replacement

Model: 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Fault Code: P0305 Posted: 2018-08-11 07:31

I own a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.3L engine that is showing a misfire fault code P0305, along with multiple cylinder misfire codes (cylinders 1 through 6). I recently replaced the number 5 injector, but the engine still shows no spray from that cylinder. Despite this repair, the misfire issue persists. What could be causing this problem? Is it possible that the new injector is faulty or not properly installed? Could there be an underlying issue with the ignition system, fuel delivery, or sensor readings?

The post mentions both P0305 and multiple cylinder misfires (1-6), which seems inconsistent. Please clarify what specific fault codes are present. Use an OBD2 scanner to retrieve all stored diagnostic trouble codes for accurate diagnosis.

Agreed — use an OBD2 scanner to retrieve all fault codes. Additionally, connect a noid light to the number 5 injector's wiring harness connector and check for signal: should be flashing (indicating active injection), not steady or no response.

The noid light shows no flashing — no signal detected from cylinder 5.

What does 'not flashing' mean exactly? Confirm that P0300 (multiple cylinder misfire) is also set in the system, as this may indicate a broader engine-wide issue rather than just one cylinder.
