2007 Tahoe EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Removal Guide
Can anyone help with removing the EVAP canister purge solenoid located under the hood on a 2007 Tahoe? I'm having trouble disconnecting the quick-connect fitting (not the one that runs back to the truck) and getting the solenoid off its bracket. Any step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Remove the engine sight shield. Disconnect the evaporative emission line from the canister purge solenoid. Push the large white retainer portion inward to release it. While pushing down on the connector, gently pull upward to disengage the tube. Unplug the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector. Loosen and remove the bolt securing the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Finally, remove the solenoid and its insulator assembly.
