2007 PT Cruiser OBD Codes P0700, P0750, P0463: Transmission Stuck in 2nd Gear & Fuel Gauge Malfunction
I own a 2007 PT Cruiser with a 2.4L inline-4 engine and automatic transmission that is currently in 'limp mode.' The vehicle will only stay in second gear when driving, and the fuel gauge intermittently shows empty or full. I've pulled the OBD codes: P0700 (Transmission Control System Malfunction), P0750 (Transmission Modulator Circuit Fault), and P0463 (Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction). Given these diagnostic trouble codes, could these issues be resolved? Are any of the transmission-related components—such as speed sensors, shift solenoids, or the TCM—likely at fault?
