My 2007 Mazda 6 V6 is showing multiple OBD2 fault codes: P2179, P0131, and P015
I encountered these codes on my 2007 Mazda 6 V6 after scanning. I replaced the pedal position sensor, and the check engine light turned off and has not returned. However, the vehicle now idles roughly and still struggles to start. Any suggestions for resolving this issue?
All these codes point to a low sensor voltage or lean air-fuel mixture condition. Use an OBD2 scanner to check sensor voltages; perform a rich fuel test (e.g., carburetor spray) to verify sensor functionality. Monitor fuel trims for abnormal readings. Also inspect for vacuum leaks and ensure proper fuel pressure. Consider cleaning the MAF sensor—avoid using oiled air filters, as this can interfere with sensor accuracy.
