P0432 Fault Code Persistent After Replacement on 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

Model: 2007 Jeep Wrangler Fault Code: P0432 Posted: 2014-08-29 07:52

I own a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and recently had all components replaced at the dealership, including the catalytic converter, four oxygen sensors, and a new intake manifold with seals and bolts. Despite these repairs, the check engine light remains on and continues to display the P0432 diagnostic code. I'm seeking advice on what steps to take next to resolve this issue. Dalia

If the work was performed to address the P0432 code, it's recommended to return to the dealership and discuss the ongoing problem. They replaced the catalytic converter and sensors—yet the code persists. Note that catalytic converters typically come with an 8-year or approximately 80,000-mile warranty.

Since P0432 refers to Bank 2, compare fuel trim values and upstream O2 sensor readings between Bank 1 and Bank 2. If these are balanced, it suggests normal input to both catalytic converters, indicating the issue lies downstream of the Bank 2 oxygen sensor. Additionally, did you or the dealership perform the installation? Was the P0432 code the only one present, and was it indeed the reason for replacing the components?

The check engine light is still on, and I've returned to the dealer shop again to address this issue.

It's concerning that so many parts have been replaced without resolving the P0432 code—this suggests a deeper underlying problem that may require further diagnostics.
