2007 Hyundai Santa Fe U0001 and U0122 Error: Lost Communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) Module
Hello everyone, I'm seeking help with a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe experiencing intermittent issues related to the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system. Symptoms: - At idle, the ABS light flickers intermittently. - When driving and braking is applied, the vehicle suddenly loses power. It may jerk, the ABS light flashes, and acceleration fails — eventually leading to a complete shutdown. Diagnostic results show the following trouble codes: 1) P0120 - Throttle Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction 2) P1780 - Transmission Control Module (TCM) Communication Failure 3) U00001 - Lost Communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) Module 4) U0120 - Lost Communication with Brake Control Module 5) U0122 - Lost Communication with VDC Module 6) U0126 - Lost Communication with Body Control Module All fuses in the vehicle's fuse panels have been checked and are functioning properly. After clearing the codes, a re-scan revealed only: - U0001 (Lost Communication with VDC) - U0122 (Lost Communication with VDC Module) Based on online research, I suspect a CAN bus communication failure between the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) module and other systems. I’ve attempted to locate the VDC module physically but haven’t found it yet. Can anyone confirm where the VDC module is located in a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe? Are there any diagrams, photos, or videos available that show the exact location of this module? Any additional troubleshooting tips or diagnostic steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
