My 2007 Hyundai Accent GS with a 1.6L engine and manual transmission has been experiencing intermittent acceleration problems for several months. The check engine light first appeared a few months ago, but would turn off when I restarted the car. Recently, it has remained on, and diagnostic scans show two fault codes: P0496 (Evaporative Emission System - High Purge Flow) and P032-than 1.5L engines, which may affect fuel efficiency and performance. I'm wondering if the P0496 code is actually causing the knock sensor issue indicated by P0328 (Knock Sensor 1). A user suggested a faulty purge control solenoid might be responsible. Is this plausible? Are there any reliable troubleshooting steps to identify whether it's the evaporative system or the knock sensor at fault?
